Colette is facing acute lymphoblastic leukemia and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Colette was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in March. The oncology team at Tangier University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Colette is 39, worked as a farmer until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Tangier University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $1,350 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $630
• Transport to Tangier University Hospital: $160
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
• Scans and lab work: $300
