Zainab Yewande Okafor

Painter, potter and teacher at Old Highland Pottery

  • 🇳🇬 Gwagwalada, Abuja FCT, Nigeria
  • Old Highland Pottery
  • 2010 to 2020
  • English, Yoruba
I work mostly in textiles, sometimes photography. My first show was in 2010 at Old Highland Pottery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog. Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I sing in a choir.

More about Zainab

I've had 12 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
