For 29 years I was the physical education teacher at São Paulo Secondary School. I taught the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's football team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Raquel
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Raquel: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
