Ouma Joseph Otieno
Painting and decorating for 15 years in Nairobi
- 🇰🇪 Nairobi, Nairobi, Kenya
- Nairobi Works
- Since 2011
- English, Swahili
I've worked in painting and decorating since 2011. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 750 apprentices.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 24 years later for another job.
More about Ouma
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.

What gifts mean to Ouma: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.

You fixed our roof in 2020 and charged half what others asked. Greetings from Fort Worth.
