Obiageli Idowu Bello
Self-taught woodcarving artist
- 🇳🇬 Abuja, Abuja FCT, Nigeria
- 1994 to 2020
- English, Igbo, French
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1994 at Abuja Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I make terrible puns.
More about Obiageli
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
Mediums
What gifts mean to Obiageli: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
