Mwangi Kimani

Coached chess for 46 years in Zanzibar City

  • 🇹🇿 Zanzibar City, Zanzibar Urban/West, Tanzania
  • Zanzibar City Pioneer Football Club
  • Since 1980
  • English
I've coached chess at Zanzibar City Pioneer Football Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 9 and 18, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I run most mornings.

More about Mwangi

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Mwangi: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
