For 28 years I've run the chess program at Zanzibar City Maple Ridge Athletic Club in Zanzibar City. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Coach Juma
If you played for me, you probably remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
What gifts mean to Coach Juma: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
