Coach Atieno
Youth volleyball coach and mentor
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Summit Sports Club
- Since 1988
- English, Swahili
For 38 years I've run the volleyball program at Summit Sports Club in Dar es Salaam. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Coach Atieno
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
Sports or skills coached
What gifts mean to Coach Atieno: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
