For 45 years I have been the biology teacher at Kandy High School. I teach primary school children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've run the homework club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I'm always reading two books at once.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Mr. Nanayakkara
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Mr. Nanayakkara: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
