Mercy Awino Kimani

Coached gymnastics for 27 years in Kinondoni

  • 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Kinondoni Crown Football Club
  • Since 1999
  • English, Swahili
I've coached gymnastics at Kinondoni Crown Football Club since 1999. Most of my players were between 12 and 15, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turn anyone away.

What gifts mean to Mercy: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

I still think about the rainy sports day. Best summer of my life. Greetings from Leeds.
