I've been a nurse for 41 years, most of them in elder care at Zaporizhzhia Maternity Hospital in Zaporizhzhia. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
I answer every message, eventually. Small things matter when someone is frightened.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
