I taught French at Silverlake Secondary School in Soweto from 1993 to 2001. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.

What gifts mean to Fiona: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
