Evans Githinji Barasa
Youth cricket coach and mentor
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Since 1991
- English, Swahili
For 35 years I've run the cricket program at Kampala Victory Community Club in Kampala. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
What gifts mean to Evans: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
