Coach Ochieng
Athletics coach, Hope Boxing Gym
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Hope Boxing Gym
- 2003 to 2015
- English, Swahili
I coached athletics at Hope Boxing Gym from 2003 to 2015. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I'm always reading two books at once.
If we met, say hello. I'd love to know how life turned out.
More about Coach Ochieng
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Ochieng: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
