Coach Opio
Youth tennis coach and mentor
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Kampala Stonebridge Swimming Club
- 2001 to 2018
- English, Swahili
For 17 years I ran the tennis program at Kampala Stonebridge Swimming Club in Kampala. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
More about Coach Opio
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Coach Opio: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
