Coach Bakari
Swimming coach, Kampala Hope Swimming Club
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Kampala Hope Swimming Club
- Since 1984
- English
For 42 years I've run the swimming program at Kampala Hope Swimming Club in Kampala. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. My door was open at lunch.
More about Coach Bakari
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Coach Bakari: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
