Coach Kouki
Youth chess coach and mentor
- 🇯🇵 Kobe, Hyogo, Japan
- St. Mary's Swimming Club
- 1995 to 2021
- English, Japanese
For 26 years I ran the chess program at St. Mary's Swimming Club in Kobe. We trained 2 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never turned anyone away.
More about Coach Kouki
If you played for me, you probably remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
What gifts mean to Coach Kouki: Anything sent will buy equipment for the junior team.
