Chukwuemeka Okechukwu Okonkwo
Painter, potter and teacher at The Victory Gallery
- 🇳🇬 Onitsha, Anambra, Nigeria
- Since 2009
- English, Yoruba
I work mostly in watercolor, sometimes jewelry. My first show was in 2009 at The Victory Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the people on my bus route. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Chukwuemeka: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
