Bas Koen Van der Heijden
First-generation students mentor, Eindhoven
- 🇳🇱 Eindhoven, North Brabant, Netherlands
- Gateway Community Trust
- 2001 to 2013
- Dutch, English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 580 people through Gateway Community Trust.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I make terrible puns.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
Areas of mentoring
What gifts mean to Bas: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
