Andrés J. Moreno
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 Coyoacán, Ciudad de México, Mexico
- Phoenix Works
- Since 2003
- Spanish
I've worked in pottery since 2003. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 460 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Andrés
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Andrés: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
