Lourdes C. Santos
Master of welding, now teaching apprentices
- 🇲🇽 Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico
- The Xalapa Shop
- 1994 to 2003
- English, Spanish
I've worked in welding from 1994 to 2003. I learned from my grandfather and passed what I could on to 480 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I make terrible puns.
More about Lourdes
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Lourdes: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
