Alyona Bogdana Zakharov
French and physical education teacher, Kharkiv
- 🇺🇦 Kharkiv, Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine
- Kharkiv Primary School
- 1991 to 2016
- English, Ukrainian, French
I taught French at Kharkiv Primary School in Kharkiv from 1991 to 2016. Most days I taught Year 9, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Over the years I had 680 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Alyona
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Alyona: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
