Liza needs a cutting table and overlocker to reopen a sewing studio
A sewing studio in Lapu-Lapu needs help replacing a cutting table and overlocker after a storm that collapsed the roof.
🇵🇭 6012, Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, Philippines1,217 views
For three years I have run a sewing studio in Lapu-Lapu. In June, a storm that collapsed the roof took a cutting table and overlocker. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Friday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 12 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $650 goes:
• Initial stock: fabric: $140
• Shop repairs and licensing: $50
• Replacing a cutting table and overlocker: $460
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hope it all works out, Liza. This could happen to any of us. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Liza
Sure. The biggest one is initial stock: fabric, $140. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. Ask me anything else.
Wishing you the best. Shared it with a few friends. Greetings from Aberdeen
