Akello Fatuma Mollel
Boxing and fitness coach, Gulu
- 🇺🇬 Gulu, Northern Region, Uganda
- 1983 to 2017
- English
For 34 years I ran the boxing program at Gulu Sakura Community Club in Gulu. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Akello: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
