Yodit is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying a nursing degree at Adama Polytechnic, and is one semester away from graduating. She has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $550.
The registrar has said Yodit can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Yodit has a distinction average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Yodit would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Yodit isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Adama Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.

• Exam and lab fees: $25
• Textbooks and materials: $40
