Winter coats and boots for 33 children at Lotus Refugee Centre in Kansas City
A simple way to help: donate warm clothing for kids at Lotus Refugee Centre.

I coordinate donations at Lotus Refugee Centre in Kansas City. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Kansas City, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Lotus Refugee Centre on Sunday between 11am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Lotus Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I hope life is good to you.

Sending good thoughts. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless.
Stay strong. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home
Sending love, Zakaria. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Thinking of Kansas City.
Thanks for sharing this, Zakaria. Hope you get there.
