I coordinate donations at the Jacaranda Family Centre in Lucknow. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Lucknow, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Jacaranda Family Centre on Saturday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Jacaranda Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Hang in there. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings

      • Hang in there, Ananya. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.

        • Gave what I could, wish it was more. Love from Soweto.
