Manuel, my father, passed away on 26 September after a long fight with kidney disease. He was 62 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,350 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 1 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Manuel to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank.

• Funeral home services and casket: $920
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $290
• Transport of the deceased: $50
• Memorial gathering for the family: $90
