Thủ Đức
I coordinate donations at the Cedar Family Centre in Thủ Đức. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Thủ Đức, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Cedar Family Centre on Thursday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Cedar Family Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.

Perfect example of someone making a real difference. They took time out of their busy schedule to help me and never made me feel like a burden.

  • Good luck. Hope you get there. After 20 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from London.

    • Good luck, Bích. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
