Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Saint Petersburg
Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in Saint Petersburg.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Neighbors' Pantry every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 326 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 56% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Saint Petersburg market and keep every receipt.
Each $15 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $500 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $270
• Refrigeration and electricity: $110
• Baby formula and diapers: $120
Thank you for reading my story.

Wishing you peace, Sofia. Your post was clear and honest. I have a 8 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Love from Cebu City!
Thanks for sharing this, Sofia. I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Lyon.
Thinking of you, Sofia. Looking forward to the next update. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. God bless.
