Weekly meals for elderly neighbors in Abbottabad
Saad runs a volunteer pantry feeding 298 families; this fund restocks shelves for the summer.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Sunday from the back of a community center. We started with 27 families, and now we feed 298 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 41% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Abbottabad market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $95
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $155
• Baby formula and diapers: $35
• Refrigeration and electricity: $15
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
