Heitor's gallbladder removal can't wait - please help us cover the bill
A scheduled gallbladder removal in September is out of reach without help covering $1,000 of the cost.

Heitor was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Juiz de Fora Orthopedic Institute recommended gallbladder removal, and He is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $2,000, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,000 short.
my son has been in and out of Juiz de Fora Orthopedic Institute since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without gallbladder removal. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $2,000 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Heitor struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Heitor won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
