Obuasi
I coordinate donations at the Pioneer Primary School in Obuasi. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Obuasi, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Pioneer Primary School on Friday between 11am and 2pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Pioneer Primary School clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Wishing you peace, Akua. This could happen to any of us.

    • shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.

      • Sending good thoughts. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Obuasi.
