I coordinate donations at Acacia Women's Shelter in Mumbai. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 2 to 14 years. If you're in Mumbai, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Acacia Women's Shelter on Wednesday between 10am and 4pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Acacia Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone. Glad we found this place.

  • So sorry you're going through this, Anand. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Thinking of Mumbai.

    • Sending strength, Anand. Hope this works out for you. Blessings.

      • Hope it all works out, Anand. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 3 years ago and strangers helped me out.

Hope you get there. Love from Miami.

          • Best of luck, Anand. Shared it with a few friends. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Mumbai.
