A repair café workshop: a volunteer-led effort in Barcelona
A community-led a repair café workshop at Harmony Park that will serve 318 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a repair café workshop. This year a group of 22 volunteers, including a group of teenagers, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for Harmony Park, but no funding.
We have received donated a pump, and the remaining cost is $1,500.
It will serve about 318 people, including school children and their families. We'll hold a build day in July and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $1,500 goes:
• Permits and inspections: $120
• Materials: $1,100
• Safety equipment and signage: $280

It's all in the list in the story. permits and inspections is the big one at $120, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Fair thing to want to know.
