Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Saeed in Toronto
Saeed, a single mother of three, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Toronto.

I'm a single mother of three living in Toronto. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,950, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Sending good thoughts, Saeed. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Take care.
Hope it all works out. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best!
Praying for you. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 21 people at work. Thinking of Toronto.
Hang in there, Saeed. Your post was clear and honest. Love from Lalitpur
Good luck. Gave what I could, wish it was more. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Brooklyn.
