Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Pooja in Tiruchirappalli
The roof at Pooja's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Tiruchirappalli. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $920, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you for reading my story.

Keep going, Pooja. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Dar es Salaam.
so sorry you're going through this, Pooja. Shared this with my family. Blessings.
hang in there, Pooja. This could happen to any of us. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend.
Hope things get better soon, Pooja. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Manila.
