Zainab was diagnosed with cervical cancer in August. The oncology team at Lagos Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Zainab is 40, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lagos Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $900 goes: • Household costs while unable to work: $250 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $520 • Transport to Lagos Regional Medical Center: $130 I hope life is good to you.
