Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Lorena in Palmira
Could you spare two Saturdays to help repair a leaking roof in Palmira?
🇨🇴 Palmira, Valle del Cauca, Colombia175 views
I'm a disabled veteran living in Palmira. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 3 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $950, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over two Saturdays.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I hope life is good to you.

Rooting for you, Lorena. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. Wish I lived closer to Eldoret so I could bring a meal. All the best
Hope things get better soon, Lorena. Shared this with my family. God bless
Good luck, Lorena. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Blessings!
Keep going, Lorena. Hope this works out for you. After 12 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Stay strong. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
