Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Gianna in Los Angeles
Gianna, a home-care aide, needs a few skilled and unskilled helpers for a 2-weekend roof repair in Los Angeles.

I'm a home-care aide living in Los Angeles. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,050, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the roofing sheets and nails. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over a weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is to be comfortable with heights or willing to help from the ground. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you so much.

Wishing you the best, Gianna. It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
take care, Gianna. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
Wishing you the best. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Thinking of Los Angeles

hope things get better soon, Gianna. Shared this with my family. My colleague had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Blessings.
