Every year the Seniors' Tea Afternoon brings together 582 neighbors in Los Angeles. I help organize it with 4 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for set-up, serving, translation and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a family-friendly day, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

  • You're not alone, Adrian. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double

    • wishing you peace, Adrian. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Los Angeles.

      • looking forward to the next update. I went through something like this 2 years ago and strangers helped me out. God bless!

        • wishing you peace, Adrian. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Love from Bahir Dar.

          • Stay strong, Adrian. Gave what I could, wish it was more. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Dammam.
