Stop the eviction: 2 months of rent for Zanele's family in Mthatha
The closure of the factory left Zanele short on rent for 2 months; help us stay in our home.

When my hours were cut in half in August, I fell 2 months behind on rent. Last Monday a court summons for non-payment was taped to my door, and the amount I owe is $900.
My landlord has been understanding for a while, but he has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, we must leave.
I have two young children at home. Moving isn't just an expense - it would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
I have started working extra hours at a market stall, and I'm applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
Funds go to the landlord and nowhere else. Any amount left over after the arrears are cleared will go toward next month's rent.
Where the $900 goes:
• First month of rent as a buffer: $140
• Rent arrears (2 months): $670
• Utilities in arrears: $90
Every share and every dollar helps.

Updates from Zanele
Quick update: $176 raised so far (20%). I made the first payment toward utilities in arrears. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($60 in total) we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Zanele
