Standing with Hamisi: stage 2 breast cancer treatment costs
Supporting Hamisi through stage 2 breast cancer: medication, transport to Fort Portal Cancer Centre, and living costs while He can't work.
🇺🇬 Western Region, Uganda1,585 views
Hamisi was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in July. The oncology team at Fort Portal Cancer Centre has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Hamisi is 48, worked as a hairdresser until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Fort Portal Cancer Centre 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $300 goes:
• Transport to Fort Portal Cancer Centre: $80
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80
• Household costs while unable to work: $140
Every share and every dollar helps.
