Volunteer day: Free Community Meal, Johannesburg
Give a few hours to the Free Community Meal - everyone is welcome and no experience is needed.
🇿🇦 Gauteng, South Africa1,182 views
Every year the Free Community Meal brings together 175 neighbors in Johannesburg. I help organize it with 5 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down.
We need people for registration, sorting donations and carrying boxes. Shifts are three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers.
It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day.
If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Wishing you peace, Mthunzi. More neighborhoods should do this. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Johannesburg.
