Oscar's severe tick fever: help with the vet bill
Oscar, Danielle's rescue greyhound, needs urgent treatment for severe tick fever costing $2,100.

Oscar is my rescue greyhound of six years. On 11 May we rushed to Brooklyn Veterinary Centre with severe tick fever. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $2,100.
They have stabilized Oscar, but the treatment can't wait beyond June.
Oscar is more than a pet - Oscar is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $200 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to Brooklyn Veterinary Centre and I'll share the invoice and an update on Oscar's recovery.
Where the $2,100 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $1,250
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $280
• Medication and follow-up visits: $350
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $220
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending love. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Greetings from Badagry!
