A community-led a rainwater harvesting system at the old Baobab bus depot that will serve 235 neighbors.

For three years the neighborhood has asked for a rainwater harvesting system. This year a group of 13 volunteers, including two retired carpenters, decided to stop waiting. The council has given permission for the old Baobab bus depot, but no funding.
We have received donated tools, and the remaining cost is $650.
It will serve about 235 people, including children, seniors and people with disabilities. We'll hold a build day in November and everyone is invited.
We're a small team, and every dollar will be spent in the open - I'll post receipts and progress photos.
Funds are spent only on materials, permits and safety equipment; all labor is volunteered.
Where the $650 goes:
• Materials: $420
• Permits and inspections: $65
• Safety equipment and signage: $50
• Tools hire and delivery: $115
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
