Every year the Free Bike Repair Day brings together 416 neighbors in Columbia. I help organize it with 10 other volunteers, and this year our numbers are down. We need people for stewarding, first-aid support and clean-up. Shifts are two to three hours long and you can pick the one that suits you. Food and drinks are provided for all volunteers. It's a long-standing tradition, and our goal is to keep it free. No experience is necessary - we'll brief everyone at the start of the day. If you can come with a friend, even better. Please say in the comments which shift works for you. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Good luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Columbia

    • Keep going. I hope things turn around soon. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home.

      • Thinking of you, Brooks. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Don't be hard on yourself for asking. Blessings.

        • Thanks for sharing this. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Sent it to 6 people at work. Greetings from Kaduna
