Júlia was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in November. The oncology team at Duque de Caxias University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in January. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Júlia is 56, worked as a hairdresser until November, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Duque de Caxias University Hospital 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $850 goes: • Transport to Duque de Caxias University Hospital: $260 • Scans and lab work: $460 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130 I hope life is good to you.

    • Best of luck, Sérgio. Wishing Júlia a smooth procedure and a full recovery. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best.
