Veteran in need: Margaret's next mission is stability
An infantry veteran in Eldoret needs help with a vocational welding course and tools after leaving service with a traumatic brain injury.
🇰🇪 Eldoret, Uasin Gishu, Kenya1,030 views
I served twelve years in the infantry and was discharged in 2023 with a traumatic brain injury. I have been waiting seven months for support, and meanwhile I'm sleeping at my brother's place.
I have a plan: a vocational welding course and tools. The quote I have comes to $600.
I'm receiving counseling through the veterans' clinic and am committed to my recovery. Structure and a stable place to live are the missing pieces.
I'd be grateful for any help and will share updates on how I'm doing.
I'll post invoices, with personal details hidden.
Where the $600 goes:
• Training provider fees: $240
• Housing deposit and first month: $290
• Transport to appointments: $70
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
