Nadine can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Nadine regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇩🇪 Augsburg, Bavaria, Germany1,046 views
Nadine has used a wheelchair since 2023, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Nadine can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate ten hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Nadine's family will cook lunch for the team.
I hope life is good to you.

Rooting for you. Hope you get there. Love from Nuremberg.
Keep going. This could happen to any of us. After 6 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care.
Thinking of you and your family. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Thinking of Augsburg
Thanks for sharing this, Theo. This could happen to any of us. I hope May is when things finally get easier.
Best of luck, Theo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Take care.
